LoofCo loofah dishwashing sponge – 2 pcs

The fibre network inside the luffa gourd, when dried, makes an excellent dish sponge: it cleans strongly, yet does not scratch the dish, the pan or the glass. LoofCo's luffas are grown in Egypt from a durable, fibre-rich variety, then harvested by hand, deseeded, peeled, dried and cut up.

Its greatest advantage over plastic sponges is that no microplastic particles come off it, and it dries quickly, so it does not become a bacterial colony on the edge of the sink. When it is finally worn out, it can be composted.

Because the size of luffa gourds naturally varies, the width of the sponge may range between 12 and 16 cm; its height is fixed at 8 cm, and its thickness when dry is approx. 1–2 cm.

Why is it a good choice?
